From March to May in 2014 we partnered up with the City of Port Phillip to present She Spoke: Southside Women on Wheels. The program featured rides, workshops, social and learning opportunities for women in Port Phillip to build their confidence around riding a bike for transport. Everyone had a lot of fun!

The Good Wheel Project is a collaboration between The Squeaky Wheel and not for profit social enterprise Good Cycles. The pilot program staged in February 2014 has been supported by the City of Melbourne and is delivered in partnership with refugee settlement agency AMES. Stay tuned for info on the next program.

After 3 months of intense activity delivery 60 on street activations for the City of Melbourne's Share Our Streets Campaign, we're taking a short break before returning with the program in spring. Meanwhile, we're rolling out another two rounds of the Good Wheel Project, one in collaboration with The Huddle at the North Melbourne Football Club, and the other in partnership with AMES, funded by the TAC Community Grants.

Cyclehack Melbourne

Cyclehack Melbourne was staged over 3 days from 20 - 22 June 2014. The event brought people together to come up with ideas that solve the barriers to cycling and build them in under48 hours. Cyclehack was also run in several other cities – Glasgow, Hamburg, San Fransisco, Kuala Lumpur, Philadelphia, Bristol, check out the global site to see what kinds of outcomes were created.

The Global VeloCity conference held in Adelaide this week awarded Pip Carroll (on behalf of our staff, committee and many partners and contributors) a Cycling LUMINARY Award (l like to capitalise LUMINARY) for our work in Bike Culture and Behaviour Change. We feel very lucky to have won and also proud because MAN HAVE WE WORKED FOR IT. Thanks to everyone involved. See you at the Logies.
